Culture: Because the cobra lily grows in cold climates it needs to be kept cool and moist at all times. This plant needs winter dormancy just like its close relative the Sarracenia.
Darlingtonia is frequently, but not exclusively, found on serpentine soils, which tend to have high concentrations of magnesium and low amounts of calcium.
