Country of Origin: eastern South Africa to Mozambique

Habitat: open areas in subtropical grasslands and bushveld

Description: Round succulent leaves, and white flowers. Often mistakenly labeled Kalanchoe thyrsiflora in the nursery trade.

Uses: Used as a charm for luck and medicinally to ease difficulties with pregnancy by the Sotho. Used by the Xhosa to treat colds and earaches, and as an antiparasitic enema. The plants are toxic and can cause stock poisoning.
