Description: Amazing and handsome large shrub from China, Korea, and Japan with red petioles bearing long, dark green leaves, to 6-10" long x 1-3" wide, arranged like whorls on the branch ends, the new growth emerging above, pale and flushed with pink. Flowers are inconspicuous.2

Plants are dioecious (separate male and female individuals); our plant is female.
