Uses: As a native African plant, it has been used and studied for it's anti-cancer properties 5. Having also a history of traditional uses, the sap of the tree is known to aid lung discomforts, stomach aches, and drunk as an aphrodisiac. The roots are used to treat sexually transmitted diseases.
