Description: The Boojum Tree is named after a "mythical thing called a boojum found in desolate far-off regions", coined in the book The Hunting of the Snark by Lewis Carrol.

It is nearly endemic to the Baja California Peninsula with only a small population in the Sierra Bacha, south of Puerto Libertad, Sonora, Mexico.
