Description: Widely distributed along the eastern coast of Australia, this spectacular orchid grows on rocks and trees where it forms large spreading clumps. The pseudobulbs are usually large and thick, tapering to the apex and varying in length from 4 in (10 cm) to 3 ft (1 m). Two to five oval, thick dark green leaves are borne on the top of each pseudobulb. Racemes up to 24 in (60 cm) long are densely clustered with small fragrant flowers from pure white to cream or yellow, with the lip often marked with purple spots or stripes. They are produced freely from late winter through to late spring.

Plant grows in cool to warm temperatures with medium amounts of light. Keep plant moist and fertilize during growth season. During winter reduce watering until new shoots appear. Grow in a well drain mix of sphagnum moss or medium fir bark. <sup>3</sup>
