Description: Evergreen tree or small shrub; leaves lanceolate, 4-7 inches long, 1.5 to 2 inches wide, pointed, conspicuously 3-veined, dark glittering green; stalk 3/4 inches long; flowers small, in slender, erect axillary panicles 1 to 4 inches long; fruit globose, black, 1/8 inch wide. Grown against a wall in most localities.
