Originally in EEB database as Illicium oliganorum. Discrepancy in specific epithet noted 19 June 2006 by Debra Hansen, UT Austin and name corrected to Illicium oligandrum in database.
Further investigation indicates that this accession is most likely Illicium parviflorum. Record changed October 2018.
