Provenance:
originally labelled as Espostoa cullmannianus, named changed to E. senilis based upon cullmannianus used as a specific epithet of senilis (Thrixanthocereus cullmannianus). However, the description of E. senilis in Anderson, The Cactus Family describes the species as having long white hairs, which ours does not. ID currently uncertain.
