Description: Bougainvillea spectabilis is a woody vine that is native to Brazil. This plant is constantly blooming and the visable hanging bracts are a purple pinkish color. This species does best in dry conditions.
Uses: Bougainvillea spectabilis has been reported to have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-tumor, anti-hypercholestrolemic, anti-hyperlipidemic, and anti-fertility properties.<sup>4</sup>
