Description: Leaves in a basal rosette, to 5 feet long, nearly 10 inches wide, gray, curved or reflexed at tip, margin toothed but not horny; inflorescence paniculate, tall; flowers pale yellow, to 3 5/8 inches long, perianth segments erect, to 1 1/4 inch long, ovary shorter than perianth.

Cultivar 'Marginata' with leaf margins yellowish-white to deep yellow.
