Description: Compact, evergreen sub-shrub with creeping rootstock to 18 inches high, more or less arching scarcely woody. Cladodes 3-4.5 inches long, 1 to 1.5 inches wide, tapering at both ends, lower narrow-oval, upper oblanceolate. Flowers 3-5, small, yellow in axil of a leaf-like bract 1 to 1.5 inches long on upper side of cladode. Berry (rarely produced) red, globose, 0.25 to 0.5 inches wide.1

This accession could possibly be Ruscus x microglossus, a natural hybrid between Ruscus hypoglossum and Ruscus hypophyllum.
